Inter midfielder Vecino: “We didn’t take advantage of our chances.”

Inter midfielder Matias Vecino believes that the Nerazzurri had chances to beat Shakhtar Donetsk but they didn’t take those chances.

The Nerazzurri are yet to pick up a single win in the Champions League, as they were held to a goalless draw by Roberto de Zerbi’s Shakhtar Donetsk. They had lost to Real Madrid in the first game week.

Vecino was talking to Sky Sport and he spoke about the performance and said: “It was a difficult game. They have fast, very good players who have been playing together for a long time and they do it really well.

“We had clear opportunities to direct the game towards our side but unfortunately, we didn’t take advantage of them. Everything is still at stake, we have to play at home. It’s an advantage, we play it.”

Inter are yet to lose in Serie A so far and were held to a 2-2 draw by Atalanta but they remain winless in the Champions League.
