Juventus’ Chiellini on De Ligt: “I hope Mino allows him to stay in Turin.”

Juventus veteran Giorgio Chiellini has stated that he wishes that Mino Raiola allows Matthijs de Ligt to stay at the club for a long period of time.

Chiellini gave an insightful interview to DAZN and also admitted in the interview that he was considering retirement before the Euros started. The Italian spoke about his Dutch teammate and stated: “He’s very strong, I call him Thor.”

“The heir of the BBC? If he had been Italian it would have been easier to keep him for so many years, I hope that Mino will allow him to stay inTurin for a few years. He has everything, but the difference is his head: he is 22 years old and he has the mentality of a 30 year old and sets himself the goal of wanting to improve every day.”

Speculation has started to mount around De Ligt’s future in recent weeks, with reports stating that Raiola has already made contact with clubs for the player.
