Roma defender Gianluca Mancini has hailed the club’s manager Jose Mourinho, claiming that the Portuguese raises the bar.
Mancini spoke to Il Messaggero recently and Mourinho’s impact at the Giallorossi was the main subject that he was asked about. He was also talking about his contract renewal at the Stadio Olimpico.
The Italian said: “Mourinho is a leader. He raises the bar. You meet his gaze and immediately you want to give more. It is fortunate to have it. When they announced his arrival, we were thrilled. The renewal? It’s not a priority, but I see myself well in Rome.”
The 25-year-old has played seven Serie A games and he has found the back of the net once for Mourinho’s side in the UEFA Conference League.
