Roma youngster after brace v Genoa: “I dedicate the goals to my mother back in Ghana.”

Roma youngster Felix Afena-Gyan has dedicated his brace against Genoa to his mother, who is still back in Ghana.

Afena-Gyan came on to play the last 15 minutes of the game and he scored twice to win the game for the Giallorossi. The second goal came from some distance out at the last kick of the game.

The teenage told DAZN after the game: “I dedicate these goals to all my teammates, but above all to my mother who he is still in Ghana, to whom I say ‘I love you’. Mourinho is a great coach, he helps me improve every day and I thank him. I scored these two goals and I just want to think about improving day by day.”

The win took Roma above Fiorentina and they are now at fifth in the table, only three points behind Atalanta.
