The agent of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has denied talk of Manchester United, claiming that the Nigerian wants to stay at the club.
There has been talk of a potential swap deal involving Osimhen and Cristiano Ronaldo, with Jorge Mendes trying to engineer a deal such as that. But the move remains complex, as things stand.
Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda has released a statement in the Italian press about the situation of his client, claiming that the Nigerian is a Napoli player and wants to play the Champions League with the Partenopei.
He stated: “No negotiations in progress, no exchange. Victor Osimhen is a Napoli player and wants to play the Champions League with his Napoli after winning it on the pitch with pride along with the coach and teammates.”
Osimhen has been very impressive for Napoli, since he joined the club from Lille. While he has picked up injury issues sometimes, he has scored 14 goals last season in Serie A and has already found the back of the net twice for Luciano Spalletti’s outfit.
