Aston Villa interested in Juventus midfielder, sale remains complicated

Aston Villa are interested in signing Juventus midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur but they are yet to make an offer for the Uruguayan.

Sky Italia claim that Bentancur is very much ‘liked’ by Villa boss Bentancur. An official offer has not yet arrived and it may not even arrive in the remaining days of the transfer window, as it is uncertain whether the interest firms up into an official offer.

Even if it does arrive, Juve will have to replace the Uruguayan this month itself. And the Bianconeri are struggling in that regard due to the demands of the clubs.

Like Borussia Monchengladbach aren’t being easy to deal with for Denis Zakaria and that is making signing the Swiss midfielder an uphill task. Because of that, Villa’s potential move for Bentancur seems tough.

For Juve, Dusan Vlahovic remains at the top of the strikers’ shortlist. Gianluca Scamacca is also around the top but they will only be signed this month or next January if they can make a big investment.
