Atalanta man could be out for four months, club eye free agent signings

Atalanta’s Duvan Zapata could be at the risk of being out for four months, with La Dea now looking into the free transfers’ market.

Sky Italia claim that Zapata had indeed picked up an injury against Cagliari when he had come off early on in the game. And his injury is more serious than what was initially expected. It could be a first degree adductor injury.

There are genuine fears that he could be out for four months and that could essentially finish the player’s season. If the seriousness of the injury is confirmed, La Dea will return to the market to bring in a temporary replacement for the player.

They will look for released players, as Gianpiero Gasperini does not want to be without a key striker option for the second half of the campaign.
