Atalanta have now rejected Newcastle United’s approaches for their players Robin Gosens and Duvan Zapata.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the La Dea duo was requested by the Magpies but Atalanta are not convinced by the offers. For Zapata, Newcastle had offered an initial loan fee of €5 million and an option to buy for €26 million for the summer.
An offer for Gosens was also pegged back and both the approaches left the Bergamo club ‘unhappy’. Atalanta’s mind can only be changed in case the Magpies make better offers in the remaining few days of the window.
It has been previously reported by Sky Italia that Gosens would want a move to Newcastle and has already agreed personal terms with the club. But as things stand, the concerned clubs are yet to strike an agreement.
