Atalanta reject Premier League club Nottingham Forest’s offer for Remo Freuler

Newly promoted to Premier League, Nottingham Forest continue to build a formidable squad for the 2022/23 season. Atalanta’s Remo Freuler is understood to have grabbed their interest amid the summer transfer market.

According to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Atalanta have rejected Nottingham Forest’s latest offer for Remo Freuler as it was considered too low by the Italian side.

The Reds offered La Dea a loan deal plus a conditional obligation to buy worth around €10 million for the Swiss midfielder.

The proposal also mentioned that they would only sign the 30-year-old on a permanent deal if they were to finish the 2022/23 campaign at the top flight of English football.

Nevertheless, it did not interest the Bergamo-based club as they are seemingly looking for a much more ambitious proposition from the Premier League side. The report claims that both parties continue to negotiate.

Freuler joined Atalanta in 2016 and has since played 259 matches for La Dea. His current contract at the Italian side runs until June 2025.
