Bernardeschi to make the Juventus line-up against Fiorentina

Leading by a 1-0 scoreline on aggregate, Juventus will host Fiorentina in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final tie on Wednesday.

According to a report from Giovanni Albanese, Massimiliano Allegri could introduce Federico Bernardeschi to Juve’s starting XI in the place of Juan Cuadrado against Fiorentina.

Arthur is reportedly putting in his best efforts to be fit and available for the semi-final clash. But if he fails in his endeavours, Danilo could be seen occupying the area in front of the defence. The report further indicates that Allegri could land a three-man midfield against La Viola.

It is expected that Daniele Rugani would partner with Leonardo Bonucci at the heart of Juve’s defence.

Signed from Fiorentina for €40million in 2017, Bernardeschi has not got many chances in recent times, with his last start in the Bianconeri shirt coming in Juve’s Suppercoppa Italiana defeat to Inter in January 2022.
