Cannavaro and Ancelotti eyed in case of Mancini’s Italy exit

Italy are looking at Fabio Cannavaro and Carlo Ancelotti, if Roberto Mancini does quit the Italian national team.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim today that Mancini is reflecting on his future following the loss to North Macedonia and a resignation can’t be ruled out at this point. Because of that, replacements are being eyed, in case Mancini leaves.

The outlet claims that the most credible track leads to hiring Cannavaro and Marcello Lippi, with the ex-Ballon D’or winner being the manager and Lippi being the technical director of the national team.

The second option is Ancelotti. If Real Madrid consider his adventure at the club to be over, Ancelotti could actually consider managing a national team soon.
