Chelsea man Jorginho following Italy’s loss to North Macedonia: “Some small mistakes made the difference.”

Italy and Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has stated that Italy failed to make the most of their chances, as they failed to qualify for the World Cup once again.

Roberto Mancini’s side lost to North Macedonia, as the opposition got a late winner in the 92nd minute of the game and they will face Portugal in the final of the World Cup play-offs.

Jorginho spoke to Rai Sport and stated: “Speaking of football, I think that was not lacking because we have always created and dominated the matches but we have not been able to finish. It is not to blame anyone but it is the reality. In these last matches we have not been able to finish and we have committed some small mistakes that made the difference where the others found goals that didn’t go in before.”

The midfielder also stated: “It is difficult because we have to look at reality. We have not been able to finish and I am also involved in this and it hurts me to think about it.”
