Chelsea make first offer for Inter’s Cesare Casadei

Chelsea have now come forward with their first offer to sign Inter’s Cesare Casadei.

This comes after Gianluca di Marzio had reported that contacts between Inter and Chelsea were recently made for Casadei, who is a player that the Nerazzurri do not want to part ways with.

Di Marzio has now reported that the Blues have come forward with their first offer – as it was initially expected. Chelsea have offered about €7 million to €8 million for the player but the Nerazzurri would like to have a buyback clause inserted in the deal, if they sell him permanently. Because of that, the current offer seems tough for Inter to accept.

Casadei’s name had popped up prominently when Inter were talking to Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku’s loan deal but no move could materialise at that point.

A central midfielder by trade, Casadei scored 14 goals and picked up four assists for the Inter Primavera side last season.
