Chelsea are genuinely interested in the possibility of signing Matthijs de Ligt and are willing to offer Timo Werner to Juventus.
It has been reported that Juventus are willing to hand De Ligt a new contract but they expect the Dutchman to respond soon.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that De Ligt is someone who has been requested by Thomas Tuchel and contact between the two clubs has taken place. The Blues have made it clear that they want to offer Werner in a potential deal and while Juve like the German, there is still a gap in valuation between the two clubs.
Werner will be happy to move to the Old Lady and has indicated his desire to move. But Chelsea’s financial offer is not enough for Juve’s valuation. While official talks have not taken place, both parties are only understanding the possibilities that can materialise. Juve would be interested in having players as part of the deal and they like Werner’s profile.
