Chelsea defender and ex-Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly has revealed that if the Partenopei win the Scudetto, he will come to Naples to celebrate the win.
Koulibaly was a faithful performer for Napoli for many years, but he departed the Maradona for Chelsea last summer. Napoli replaced him with Kim Min-jae, who has impressed quite a bit at the back.
Koulibaly spoke to Corriere della Sera in an interview and he spoke about a range of issues and he focused on Napoliโs title-charge. He stated that he will come running back to Naples if the team wins the title.
He stated: โI hope so, we donโt say it out of luck.ย If that happens, I will run to Naples to celebrate, it will also be my Scudetto.โ
He was also asked about whether the current Napoli side are better than the Napoli side under Maurizio Sarri, the Senegal defender responded: โIf they win, we will say that they are stronger. It was a different football, we cannot make comparisons.ย That Napoli played in an incredible way, we dominated all the teams.ย Today even when they donโt dominate they kill the games, they are extraordinary.ย I see them solid, compact.โ
