Complete break between Roma and Veretout, as club look to lower asking price

There is now a complete breakdown of relationship between Jordan Veretout and Roma, with the club now looking to reduce their asking price for the Frenchman.

Corriere dello Sport have reported that the relationship between the player and the club will force Roma to reduce their asking price further, as they want to get rid of him as quickly as possible. The issue currently is that only Marseille have come forward with an offer.

And their offer is at only €8 million, which is way too low for Roma to even consider it. But Roma know that rejecting bids is a risk as other clubs may not come forward for the Frenchman. This could allow Marseille to sign the ex-Fiorentina man at a lower cost than usual.

Veretout had attended his wife’s birthday party even when she had tested positive for COVID-19 a day ago and he wasn’t at the centre of Jose Mourinho’s plans.
