Cristiano Ronaldo was offered to Milan in late summer transfer

Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo was offered to Milan in Jorge Mendes’ late attempt to find a new club for his client.

Ronaldo was offered to Napoli by Mendes late in the summer transfer window, but he had to find a new club for Victor Osimhen as only his exit could have brought in CR7 at the Maradona. But at the end of it all, a move never materialised for the player.

Gianluca di Marzio has now talked (via MB) about the fact that similar attempts were made for Milan as well and Mendes tried a late potential transfer to the San Siro for his client.

The journalist appeared on Sky recently during Portugal’s UEFA Nations League game against Spain and he revealed that Mendes had desperately tried to bring Rafael Leao to Paris Saint-Germain or Chelsea, so that there can be room to bring Ronaldo to Milan.

But the move never worked out as Milan were desperate to keep Leao and focus on younger players. It was after this that an attempt was made for Napoli, with Mendes promising an offer of €100 million for Osimhen and Napoli wanted €120 million and wanted the entire Ronaldo salary to be paid by Manchester United.
