Fiorentina are said to be expecting to pay the €15 million fee that Arsenal want to permanently sell Lucas Torreira this summer.
La Nazione claim that La Viola are now ‘close’ to permanently signing the Uruguayan midfielder in a summer transfer deal. It stated that unless the salary of the player is renegotiated by the player or by Fiorentina, he will cost €15 million for a permanent deal and that is the value that Arsenal put for him when the loan deal took place.
Arsenal are sure currently that the fee will come from Fiorentina soon and they don’t expect to make any discounts for Torreira. Barring any u-turns, Rocco Commisso’s club can give the approval to pay the fee in mid-May.
Other outlets have also talked about the same over the previous week and it now seems as if the move is gathering pace.
Torreira has impressed as the defensive midfielder under Vincenzo Italiano this season, making 29 Serie A appearances and even scoring once.
