Fiorentina meet with Vincenzo Italiano’s agent amid the head coach’s interest in Europe

Vincenzo Italiano has emerged as a hot topic in the streets of Florence, with the head coach’s release clause clouding his future in Italy.

According to a report from La Nazione, Fali Ramadani, the new representative of Vincenzo Italiano, held talks with Fiorentina general manager Joe Barone and director Daniele Pradè over the future of La Viola’s head coach in Florence.

The triumvirate met at the city centre yesterday and discussed Italiano’s current release clause, thought to be worth around €10million. The club doesn’t want to lose Italiano to a European heavyweight ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

But his management style has attracted the eyes of several potential suitors from across Europe. And the report suggests that Italiano fancies a new challenge this summer. Under his stewardship, Fiorentina are currently sixth, having accumulated 40 points from 38 games. Last time, La Viola finished the 2020/21 Serie A season in 13th position.
