Gabbia move depends on Milan’s talks with Man Utd

The situation of Milan defender Matteo Gabbia depends on the Rossoneri’s talks with Manchester United for Eric Bailly.

Carlo Laudisa has reported that United have opened up to the idea of letting Bailly leave on loan, any movement on the Ivorian would have direct consequences on the situation of Gabbia.

Talks with United are still only halfway through and terms for an option to buy are yet to be defined. Ralf Rangnick’s decision will play a key role in whether Bailly leaves or not, as the German is now having more of a say over transfers.

If Bailly does join, Gabbia will be allowed to leave this month. So far, Milan are holding back on letting him leave. Sampdoria, Cagliari and Salernitana have expressed their interest in the player and only dry loans are being looked at. A decision about it will be made in the next few days, as Milan are looking to make progress on the Bailly front this week.
