Galatasaray are close to sealing a move for Mauro Icardi and final details are being sorted by the Turkish club.
The transfer deadline day in Turkey is today and reports had previously linked Icardi with a move to Galatasaray, who definitely seem to have advanced in a potential transfer.
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that the Turkish giants are closing the striker’s transfer and in the morning, details of a move will be sorted between Paris Saint-Germain and Galatasaray and the player will then join the club only on a dry loan deal. They will not have an option or obligation to buy him permanently.
Icardi was linked with a host of clubs in the summer but no moves came about for him in the top five European leagues. His current contract with PSG expires in the summer of 2024, so the Argentine will spend another season at PSG once his loan deal at Galatasaray ends.
