Inter arrange a meeting with Ivan Perisic’s entourage as the club wants to complete the contract extension

Inter are yet to reach an agreement with the entourage of Ivan Perisic, with the Milan-based club doing their bits to extend the contract of the Croat.

A report from La Gazzetta dello Sport understands that Inter have agreed to meet with the representatives of Ivan Perisic after the end of the 2021/22 season. In the meeting, both parties will reportedly try to conclude talks over a potential contract extension for the player, whose current terms will expire in June 2022.

As per the report, the Nerazzurri are currently offering Perisic a fixed one-year extension with an option for a second term at a yearly salary of €4million. However, the 33-year-old is demanding a fixed two-year contract at his current salary, around €5million.

Inter have already invested heavily in the extensions of Bastoni, Barella, Lautaro and Brozovic. But Perisic remains a cog in Simone Inzaghi’s side, and the boss wants the Croatian at Inter next season.

There is a small gap between the demands of the two parties. But, Inter are hopeful of reaching an agreement over the contract extension of Perisic.
