Inter manager Simone Inzaghi set to hold a meeting with Giuseppe Marotta

After enduring three defeats in the last five Serie A fixtures, Inter are well in a crisis. Simone Inzaghi must react to adversities as quickly as possible.

A report from Corriere della Sera claims that Inter boss Simone Inzaghi will hold a meeting with the club CEO Giuseppe Marotta on Thursday. It is suggested that their discussion will focus on the reasons behind the club’s poor results in recent weeks. And then, they will try to find a solution in an attempt to end the misery.

Since the start of the campaign, Inter have looked unsure about their playing style, somewhat losing the last year’s momentum that led the Nerazzurri to their glories in the Supercoppa Italiana and the Coppa Italia.

At the weekend, the Nerazzurri faced a shambolic 3-1 defeat to Udinese, which has resulted in the 19-time Scudetto winners dropping down to the seventh position in the league table.

The manager reportedly thinks that Romelu Lukaku’s injury has not helped the cause either. With the Belgian set to return for Inter’s game against Roma after the international break, Inzaghi understandably believes that he might be able to see the trace of light at the end of the tunnel.
