Inter scout Danish midfielder as alternative for Sassuolo man

Inter have been keeping an eye on Danish midfielder Morten Hjulmand as an alternative for Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi.

Carlo Laudisa has reported about Inter’s approach to sort out their midfield in the summer. It is stated that both Arturo Vidal and Matias Vecino are expected to leave the club, Roberto Gagliardini’s future is also in the balance.

Frattesi is the main goal for the midfield but he is valued at €30 million by Sassuolo. That will make it tough for the Nerazzurri to sign the Italian. Inter had tried to sign Gonzalo Villar in the summer before he was loaned out by Roma to Getafe.

Hjulmand though, has impressed for Lecce this season and he is leading their charge for promotion back to Serie A. Inter have scouted him in many Serie B matches and they have been impressed by the Dane. Premier League clubs also like him and Inter aren’t alone.

Hjulmand is capable of playing a variety of roles in midfield and that seems to attract Simone Inzaghi quite a lot.
