Serie A side Milanโs star midfielder Ismael Bennacer has now rejected the Rossoneriโs offer for a new deal.
Daniele Longo has reported about the Algerianโs situation, claiming that while Bennacerโs agent was in Italy last week, positive signs have not arrived for discussions regarding a new deal.
Bennacerโs current deal expires in the summer of 2024 and he earns โฌ1.7 million per season. Milanโs contract offer was worth โฌ3 million per season but Bennacer wants the club to more than double the current wage. As a result, there remains a distance between demand and supply.
There is a will from both parties to continue discussions for a renewal and contact can be made with Bennacerโs agent at the end of the window to talk more about a deal.ย
The Algerian has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe over the past year or so and Milan have already lost the likes of Hakan Calhanoglu, Franck Kessie and Gigio Donnarumma for free in the recent past.
