Juventus chief flies to London to meet Chelsea for Jorginho

Chelsea’s Jorginho has emerged as one of the main targets for Juventus ahead of the approaching summer transfer window.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus sporting director Federico Cherubini has landed in London to oversee a couple of transfer dealings. He will hold talks with the representatives of Chelsea and discuss the summer transfer of Jorginho.

The report understands that the talks over the personal terms of the player have already reached an advanced stage.

But as far as the negotiation for a possible move is concerned, nothing has been agreed upon yet. Cherubini’s visit to Chelsea could accelerate the negotiations between the two parties.

The 30-year-old’s contract with the Blues expires in June 2023. Apart from Jorginho, the Old Lady is willing to land Paul Pogba on a free transfer. Pogba’s contract at Manchester United ends in June 2022.

Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhães remains a possibility for the Bianconeri, with the Italian club also looking to make a swoop for a defender in the summer. It is suggested that Cherubini will also hold talks with Arsenal for a potential transfer of the Brazilian defender.
