Juventus closing in on Man Utd’s Paul Pogba with PSG falling behind

Juventus have made notable developments in their bid to sign Paul Pogba on a free transfer this summer, with the Frenchman seemingly poised to return to Turin.

As reported by Alfredo PedullĂ , Juventus are on the brink of completing the move for Pogba, with Paris Saint-Germain now fallen behind the Old Lady in the pursuit of the French superstar.

Juventus have reportedly prepared a final proposal to land the 2018 World Cup winner, which is understood to be a fixed offer of €8million plus €2-3million in various bonuses for a three-year term with a possible option for a further year.

Like Juventus, PSG have been a long-term admirer of the player. But as mentioned in the report, PSG have several puzzles to solve before making a move for the midfield maestro, with the futures of Kylian Mbappe, Mauricio Pochettino, and Leonardo occupying the majority of the Ligue 1 club’s attention at the moment. Therefore, Juve are leading the race to sign the former Juve man.

Pogba will leave Manchester United after his contract at the Premier League club ends in June 2022. A host of reports believes that the English club is willing to extend his contract. But driven by the sense of a new challenge, Pogba is likely to part ways with his boyhood club for the second time in his career.
