Juventus confident of closing deal for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba

Juventus have gained confidence in their chase for Paul Pogba, following a recent meeting with the player’s lawyers.

Alfredo Pedulla has reported that the meeting between the two parties turned out to be quite positive. It lasted about more than four hours and before Juve’s game against Lazio, Maurizio Arrivabene cooled the rumours by saying that the same lawyers also represent Moise Kean and Luca Pellegrini and Pogba was not a subject of discussion.

Pedulla’s tweet has gone on to state that the denials from Arrivabene are normal and Juve have the confidence of going all the way in the deal. They did not close the deal in today’s meeting but the Bianconeri will keep on insisting.

Juve could be willing to offer a wage of about €8-€9 million per season, even though that will be lower than what PSG can pay the Frenchman. It has been stated that Juve are relying on Pogba’s liking for Turin to make a deal possible.

Romeo Agresti has also stated that Juve expressed their interest in Pogba concretely during the meeting. But the midfielder wants to take time after assessing all the options on the table.
