Juventus’ Max Allegri on Paris Saint-Germain game: “The game to win is the one against Benfica”

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has stated that the home game against Benfica will be a more important one for the Bianconeri than the upcoming one against Paris Saint-Germain.

Juve were held to a 1-1 draw by Fiorentina away from home recently and it was a rather dull performance from the Bianconeri. Allegri has come under criticism for the performance – similar to what happened after the 0-0 draw against Sampdoria earlier in the camapign.

After the game, Allegri was asked by reporters about the upcoming clash against Christophe Galtier’s men. The Italian stated:

“Paris Saint-Germain? Let’s be realistic, the game to win is the one against Benfica at home.”

Allegri was also asked about the performance on Saturday and he told that Angel di Maria started after having had only two training sessions, Leandro Paredes was making his debut and several players had played their fifth game in a row as well.

He stated: “Let’s take the positive things, you can’t risk losing these matches. The goal concede made me very angry. “

Juve remain unbeaten in Serie A but Allegri has already been critisied a fair bit for his approach in games this season.
