Juventus pushing for Kalidou Koulibaly as a replacement for Chelsea-linked Matthijs de Ligt

Napoli wish to sell Kalidou Koulibaly this summer as it seems to be their last chance to gain some funds from the sale of the defender, who has one year left on his current contract.

According to La Stampa (via Tutto Mercato Web), Juventus are extensively pushing for the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly. The report understands that the Bianconeri are preparing for a life beyond the exit of Matthijs de Ligt.

De Ligt remains a transfer target for Chelsea, who are thought to be willing to offer Juventus a package of €70 million and a counterpart. In terms of the player included in a potential deal, it could be one between Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic.

Juventus will reportedly ask for more cash upfront. But there is a general feeling that De Ligt could eventually leave the Turin-based side this summer, meaning that the arrival of a replacement for the Dutchman will soon become a necessity for Massimiliano Allegri.

Once De Ligt is gone, Juventus will turn their eyes towards Koulibaly, who is on the brink of leaving Napoli this summer. However, it will be interesting to see whether Aurelio De Laurentiis sanctions his move to Juventus, who are also one of the prestigious seven sisters of Serie A.
