Juventus winger Ángel Di María expected to be out for 40 days

Juventus had a horrendous Champions League encounter against Maccabi Haifa, with Ángel Di María getting subbed off the pitch after picking up a knock in the 24th minute of the game.

According to what is reported by the print version of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Bianconeranews.it), Di María suffered from a suspected hamstring injury in Isreal.

After landing in Turin, the former Real Madrid man will undergo further medical examinations to understand the seriousness of the injury. However, it is expected that the Argentinian could be out for a time between three weeks and 40 days.

Since joining Juventus as a free agent in the summer transfer window, Di María has not managed to discover his best on a consistent basis for the Bianconeri.

When fit, he has shown glimpses of his dazzling abilities, but the fitness issues and the red card against Monza have significantly narrowed his playing time in Italy. As a result, he has earned just 333 minutes of football across seven appearances in all competitions.
