Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sparkles in Napoli’s first half v Sassuolo

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia put on a show for fans during Napoli’s first-half in their Serie A clash against Sassuolo.

The Partenopei put themselves 3-0 up in the first half against the Neroverdi, putting in a performance of the highest quality. But it was the performance by Kvaratskhelia that stood out, as the Georgian created two goals and scored one himself.

His goal in the first-half was set up by Mario Rui, whose long ball over the top was found the Georgian perfectly and the 21-year-old beat Andrea Consigli rather easily. Kvaratskhelia’s second assist for Victor Osimhen was a standout one, as the winger found himself on the right and he held onto the ball by using his strength to hold off defenders. It allowed time to Osimhen to make space for himself, leaving Kvaratskhelia to pick him out perfectly.

The winger has now contributed to over ten goals in 12 Serie A games, an indicator of how a season he has had.
