Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri asks for sale of Luis Alberto

Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri has asked the club for the sale of midfielder Luis Alberto.

The Spaniard has regularly been linked with a move away from the Roman side but offers worthy of Lazio’s valuation of the player have never arrived. Luis Alberto had sought to leave in the summer of 2021 and hadn’t turned up for training for multiple days, but he still managed to stay at the club.

Il Messaggero (via TMW) have now reported that Sarri has asked Claudio Lotito to sell the midfielder in January and this isn’t the first time that he has made a request such as that one.

Luis Alberto’s sale will solve the problem of the liquidity index which is again blocking the market operations of the Capital club. As of now, Lotito is not in favour of the player’s sale and he is not looking to meet Sarri’s demand of signing Fabiano Parisi from Empoli, Emanuele Valeri from Cremonese or Benfica’s Rafa Silva.
