Lazio boss Maurizio Sarri has emphasised on the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo scored more goals in Serie A under him and he can adapt his style to different types of strikers.
Ciro Immobile grabbed an impressive hat-trick against Genoa and he has now scored 2 hat-tricks in the same season. Following the game, Sarri spoke to the reporters and he talked about perceptions about him needing a specific style of striker.
He said: “I think I’ve always been flexible and the vision journalists have is different, as is the label they have given me. The characteristics of a striker are determined in order to choose how to play.
It was with me that Ronaldo scored the most number of goals in Italy, Eden Hazard in the Premier League. It means that I put these players at the disposal of others.”
The Biancocelesti are fifth in the table and are seven points behind Juventus, as things stand.
