Serie A side Lazio have been offered a chance to sign to sign former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata.
Mata’s contract at United expired at the end of May and he is now free to join any club for free. Il Messaggero (via TMW) have reported that the Spaniard’s entourage has offered the player’s services to Lazio in the last few hours.
While Lazio have received the request, the offer does not appeal Maurizio Sarri considering that he is adding experience to the team in the form of Dries Mertens and Francesco Caputo. Not just Lazio, but Mata has been offered to a host of European clubs and the Biancocelesti are one of those.
As things stand, the most relevant and concrete track happens to be that of Saudi Arabia where multiple clubs are willing to pay a big wage packet. Mata was at United from the January to 2014 till this summer.
