Lazio reach “preliminary agreement” for Milan captain

Lazio-bound Alessio Romagnoli will soon sign his contract for the club he has supported since childhood.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Alessio Romagnoli is one step away from joining Lazio on a free transfer this summer.

The report understands that the authorities of both Milan and Lazio held a meeting yesterday in Formello to conclude the deal for the Milan captain.

It is believed that talks did lead to an understanding in principle between the parties. But they haven’t found a final agreement as a few details in regard to the bonuses and commissions for agents are yet to be defined.

However, there is a general feeling that an agreement could be reached by the last week of this month. Lazio are offering Romagnoli a salary of €3million per season plus a series of performance-related add-ons, which could lead him to earn €3.5 million per year in Rome.
