Lazio to hold talks with the agent of the Milan captain soon

Lazio are one of the many teams interested in signing Alessio Romagnoli from AC Milan next summer.

A report in today’s Il Messaggero understands that Lazio will soon hold a meeting with the entourage of Romagnoli over a potential transfer next summer.

The AC Milan captain’s current contract at San Siro runs out in June 2022. Having failed to reach an agreement over a renewal at Milan so far, Romagnoli looks likely to part ways with the Rossoneri this time.

His struggles with injuries have left him on the sideline for a considerable amount of time this season. Thus, the 27-year-old has made only 18 appearances in Serie A 2021/22 campaign.

With a summer departure on the cards, the defender has reportedly instructed Mino Raiola to take a discreet approach while dealing with the future of the Italy international.

The player is focused on finishing the campaign with Milan on a high note. He, being the captain of the club, is reluctant to disturb the team’s flow as they keep battling for the coveted Scudetto.
