Milan’s Ibrahimovic is ‘terrified’ of life post-football

Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is said to be ‘terrified’ of his career post-retirement, claims Gianluca di Marzio.

Di Marzio spoke to Sky Italia about the future of Ibrahimovic recently and he stated that while the Swede can retire after this season if Milan win the Scudetto, he is terrified of what life holds for him post-retirement.

The journalist said (as relayed by MilanNews): “Knowing the charisma and the desire in him to finish as a winner, Zlatan could stop with a league victory. He is terrified about life after football. He wants to continue and it is difficult to stop, it is hard for him to say enough. Obviously the contract offer will not be the same as in recent years.”

It is stated that Milan want to hand him a new deal but he would have to accept reduced terms to stay and in case of retirement, the Rossoneri and the Swedish national team have coaching roles for him.
