Manchester United willing to make offer for Lazio midfielder, as Sarri set for talks

Premier League side Manchester United are said to be willing to put an offer on the table for Lazio’s Sergey Milinkovic-Savic.

La Repubblica’s Roma edition have reported about Lazio’s situation on the transfer market front. They claim that Maurizio Sarri is ‘falling in love’ with Lazio and a meeting involving him, Igli Tare and Claudio Lotito will take place later this week.

They will talk about the club’s transfer plans and future ambitions and whether the club will have to sell players to refresh the whole squad. The meeting is set for Wednesday and Sarri’s wants will be compared to the club’s ambitions.

The meeting is said to be key for Milinkovic-Savic’s future at the club. It is likely that Sarri asks for the sale of the midfielder not because he doesn’t like the player but because his sale will allow the club some funds to bolster the whole squad on the basis of Sarri’s needs.

It is stated that United will present an offer of €60 million for the Serbian, with Paris Saint-Germain also expected to make an attempt. It is stated that the money received will be key for Sarri’s and Lazio’s future.
