Milan and Newcastle United will not be able to sign Lille’s Sven Botman this January.
Sky Italia claim that Lille have decided that they will not sell the Dutchman in the current month, after having rejected an offer of €40 million from the Magpies very recently. That rejection sends out a clear signal that Lille don’t want to sell the defender.
Milan would have wanted to sign Botman this month – especially for an initial loan. But there are no conditions or talks set up to hold negotiations for the player. This is not the first time that Lille have rejected bids for Botman this month, as Newcastle had approached pegged back in the past too.
It was reported by La Repubblica last week that Botman would like to move to Milan, if a move happens and he would prefer the Rossoneri over Newcastle.
