Milan and Inter will play out their last games of the season at the same time as the Serie A title race will conclude after a roller-coaster of a campaign.
Both Milan and Inter had won their previous games, as the Rossoneri beat Atalanta and the Nerazzurri beat Cagliari away from home. This means that Milan are two points ahead of Inter, going into the final day. And the Rossoneri need just a point against Sassuolo to win the Scudetto on Sunday, irrespective of Inter’s result against Sampdoria.
Milan would be wary of the fact that Alessio Dionisi’s Neroverdi had beaten them in the reverse fixture but the fact that a draw should be enough for them to win the league is an encouraging aspect of the tie.
Inter meanwhile, just have to beat Marco Giampaolo’s Samp, as the ex-Milan boss will look to do a favour for his former side on Sunday.
