Milan have shown enormous faith in sustaining the services of talented youngsters across Europe and beyond in recent years. Benfica’s Diego Moreira is one of the players currently monitored by the Rossoneri with vast eagerness.
According to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, Milan have already made contact with an intermediary regarding Moreira. Milan reportedly like the player but are not the only team to have shown interest in the young winger.
Born in 2004, Moreira made his senior debut for the Portuguese giants in March 2022. Since then, he has not featured much for the senior side but has played loads of matches for the junior team and even in the UEFA Youth League, where he has one goal and one assist from four appearances this season.
The report claims that Moreira has a contract with Benfica until June 2024. But Milan could face competition as several top clubs in Europe are understood to be keeping tabs on the same prize. Nevertheless, the 18-year-old doesn’t appear to be someone who will break into Milan’s first team right away but could be a decent addition to the Primavera side.
