Milan open up to potential future manager role for Ibrahimovic

Paolo Maldini has opened up to a potential future manager role for Milan veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Daniele Longo has reported about the situation of Ibrahimovic recently, stating that Ibrahimovic’s goals have been clear. One was to win the Scudetto, with the second being playing in the World Cup with Sweden. Now that the second possibility has been ruled, he is ready to give his all for the Scudetto race.

He would like to go on for another year and Milan are happy to give him that chance. But the offer Milan are making is of €2-€3 million per season fixed plus bonuses based on appearances and goals. That is less than what his current deal offers. Whether Ibrahimovic accepts it or not depends on the role he gets in the team, as he wants to be a mainstay in the side.

Recently though, Maldini has opened up to having Ibrahimovic in a managerial capacity in the future. It is an idea which hasn’t taken full shape and it might still be a hypothesis but it is something which will allow him to be in the Rossoneri environment.
