Milan set to make new offer for Lille’s Sven Botman amidst Newcastle interest

Milan are set to make another offer for Lille defender Sven Botman.

Daniele Longo had recently reported that Milan held a new meeting with the entourage of Sven Botman two days ago and he has now reported that during the meeting, the Rossoneri made it clear to the agents of the defender that they will make a new attempt for the player.

It is stated that Botman will have to wait for a few more days to decide to future, as currently Newcastle have reached Lille’s demand for the transfer fee. But the Dutchman has agreed personal terms with Newcastle and he only wants the Serie A giants.

Newcastle want to close the agreement with Lille at €40 million, whereas Milan’s offer is of about €10 million less. Milan have no intention to meet that asking price set by the French club.

In the next bid, Milan hope that Botman’s will to join them proves crucial and the move can go through. There is less optimism now than it was before but their next offer will be definitive.
