Napoli monitoring ex-Man Utd star Adnan Januzaj but close to Federico Bernardeschi

Napoli are understood to be getting closer to the signing of Federico Bernardeschi, who will leave Juventus on a free transfer this summer.

As reported by Il Mattino, Matteo Politano, despite being bound to Napoli’s contract until June 2024, could leave the club this summer.

The report understands the former Roma star could emulate Lorenzo Insigne into parting ways with the Naples-based side this time, meaning that Luciano Spalletti’s side could undergo a complete rejuvenation—when it comes to the team’s first-choice attacking wingers.

As things stand, the Azzurri are on the hunt for a replacement in the market. And Federico Bernardeschi, whose contract with Juventus expires this summer, is reported to be on the cusp of joining Napoli. Spalletti’s club has also been keeping tabs on Adnan Januzaj.

A former Manchester United academy prospect, Januzaj will see out his current term with Real Sociedad. Napoli could secure his services for free this summer. It was claimed some time ago that Januzaj had been offered to Roma, who is looking to bring a winger, perhaps a replacement for Nicolo Zaniolo.
