Milan shot-stopper Mike Maignan on slow road towards recovery

With the Serie A set to resume within two weeks time following the 2022 World Cup, Milan shot-stopper Mike Maignan is on a slow and steady road towards recovery from injury in preparation of the second half of the campaign.

The 27 year-old was ruled out of the international tournament and a month of fixtures for the Rossonerri following a series of issues regarding his calf, forcing the former Lille keeper to be held at bay.

According to reports from Sky (via Milan News), it would be a new, small, issue for the French goalkeeper of Milan is causing him to struggle with the recovery of the calf injury. The muscle, however, would not have reacted as expected and there is high caution around his physical condition. As a result, Milan don’t want to force the times in the slightest, but upon returning to Italy there will be instrumental examinations and tests. Therefore, the next 10 days will be decisive regarding the Frenchman’s availability.
