Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is now set to join Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Marco Conterio has reported that Kessie will be a Barcelona player in the summer, after his contract demands were said to be too expensive for Milan. At Barca, Kessie will earn a wage of €6.5 million a year plus bonuses.
Other clubs had come forward for Kessie in recent weeks and months. While Paris Saint-Germain had come close to meeting the player’s demands in the summer, they moved to other targets for the time being. Juventus and Tottenham backed out of the race once they got to know of the wage demands.
Barcelona ended up being the only club to make an offer for him and the contract on the table convinced the midfielder. The move is now set to take place.
