Napoli considering against signing a replacement for PSG-linked Fabián Ruiz

Fabian Ruiz could leave Napoli, with Paris Saint-Germain intending to sign the Spaniard as soon as this summer transfer window.

According to Naples-based outlet Il Mattino, Napoli might not consider signing a replacement for Fabian Ruiz even if his exit leaves a void in the squad.

The current Napoli squad consists of midfielders like André Zambo Anguissa, Stanislav Lobotka, Diego Demme, Piotr Zielinski, Eljif Elmas, and Gianluca Gaetano. The report understands that the signing of Giacomo Raspadori from Sassuolo would allow Luciano Spalletti to play his team in a 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 formation. In that case, an additional midfielder is unlikely to arrive even if the 26-year-old departs.

However, Napoli are keeping tabs on Hellas Verona’s Antonín Barák, Tottenham Hotspur’s Giovani Lo Celso, and Cagliari’s Nahitan Nández. Meanwhile, PSG are preparing a four-year offer worth a salary of around €5 million per season for Ruiz. While the Italian club values the player at €30 million, several reports claim that the Ligue 1 champions could close a deal at around €25 million as the player’s contract at the Naples-based side expires in June 2023.
