OFFICIAL | Roma’s Georginio Wijnaldum picks up tibia fracture

Roma midfielder and Georginio Wijnaldum has now picked up a tibia fracture and it could rule him out for several weeks.

Wijnaldum had joined Roma from Paris Saint-Germain on an initial loan deal with the option to buy him permanently next summer. He has already made his debut for the club, as he came on from the bench against Salernitana.

Roma have now confirmed his right foot’s tibia and he picked it up during training recently. He underwent a test recently, which revealed a fracture.

Wijnaldum is not expected to return to action before the FIFA World Cup and he is probably going to be out for about four to six months, as things stand. Further checks are pending and that will make sure that we will have more information about the injury.

It will also allow Roma to make a call about his situation, as he has only arrived on a loan deal.
