At the Sport Festival in Trento, Arthur Melo’s agent Federico Pastorello spoke about his client’s move to Liverpool amid the rumours from England that Jürgen Klopp wasn’t impressed with the Brazilian.
Despite his agents claim that Liverpool are happy with Arthur, some reports have suggested that Liverpool could terminate the loan early. With Arthur’s only 1st team appearance coming in a 13 minute cameo in the Champions League, it hasn’t been the start he would have wanted.
Pastorello however had no doubts over his client’s situation being positive, as he told Gazzetta.it:
“He arrived there on the last market day and last year he played little by the choice of Allegri and due to an injury. The first few weeks are normal for adaptation and recovery of physical condition.
“Everyone is very happy with him, he has given up his holidays to stay in Liverpool to work. Soon he will be at 100%”.
Whether this is just agent talk or not, English media have picked up on Arthur’s willingness to improve with many outlets reporting he has hired his own fitness team and given up his break in order to get fit.
Arthur will be hoping to improve and put in good performances before the World Cup as a return to Juventus could be worse with the Turin side deeming him surplus to requirements. Massimiliano Allegri reportedly has no intention of reintegrating Arthur into the side.
